Watanabe Indigo Dyer

A famous and well-known "prefectural cultural asset" Watanabe has been dying indigo for decades. He offers beautiful hand-dyed indigo crafts for sale from his workshop/store. Featured in the book "Blue and White Japan" by Amy Katoh, some of Watanabe's patterns are hundreds of years old, while some are contemporary interpretations of traditional themes. Definitely worth a look!
